The prerequisites for running funMONEY are a T-Online account, a
bank account which has been configured for online banking, as well as
a mobile phone contract with a network provider supported by T-Online

Setting up the account service
The account service can be set up easily and conveniently on a
Palm. To activate the banking function, the user just needs to send an
SMS containing a reference to the relevant account together with the
PIN. As with Internet banking, the customer identifies himself to
funMONEY by entering his PIN.
The transmission and reading out of the SMS is initiated by the
Palm fully automatically. To do this, it is only necessary to position
the mobile phone with the infrared interface facing the Palm. The
procedure is even simpler if the Palm and mobile phone are able to
communicate using Bluetooth.
Free offline preparation of transactions
In contrast to WAP banking, transactions to be performed using SMS
banking can be prepared offline, and therefore free of charge. SMS
messages are usually received just a few seconds after they have been
sent.
